about the marketS
Hi and thanks for stopping by!
Owl Designer Fair is produced by Stephanie Keroack and she loves all things handmade!!
It's so meaningful to make something for a friend or loved one or to receive a gift that you know someone made for you with thought and care.
18 years ago Emmy-Lou McMillan had a vision to bring unique makers together for a great market experience, and thus the Owl Fair began. In 2018, she passed the torch to Stephanie, the maker behind Dottie Handmade. As a past vendor and Fernwood local Stephanie knows the Owl well. Stephanie has a passion to support and grow the handmade industry, and to connect the community with its local makers. She is excited to keep one of Victoria's favourite handmade markets going strong!
The Owl Designer Fair is a fixture in the Victoria Christmas craft show scene and happens every Christmas season in the Fernwood neighbourhood of Victoria BC. The fair features a lineup of fantastic local musicians and food trucks. The Owl markets have a commitment to community and at each show there is a fundraiser for a local non profit with a by donation door prize draw. If you have a non-profit or a good cause you think we should support please let us know!
The Little Owl Kids Fair was started 11 years ago and focuses on handmade goods for babies and kids. Little Owl is still currently on hiatus but usually happens several times a year at different locations on south Vancouver Island. Little Owl also showcases young makers selling their art and designs. For some of them it is their first experience selling at a market. It has been incredible to see the talent in these young makers and also to see their confidence grow with this experience. We also offer a craft station and free face painting!
We are so excited that there are now so many great markets all over the Island and thanks so much for supporting Owl Fairs!
